Official FAQ1
What counts as a 'fire spell'?
Once a minion, aura, or artifact enters the realm, it is no longer considered a 'spell.' Magic never enters the realm, so it is still considered a spell while it is resolving. In effect, Lava Salamander is immune to fire Magic.
